I met Samrawit at a tech festival, where we chatted about her digital platform firm, Mogzit In-home Care; She’s on a mission to bring sense, organisation, and unity to a disparaged home care industry across Africa.
Mogzit is one of those platform businesses whose work is worth amplifying. As a leading provider of convenient and affordable childcare in Africa, the platform connects parents with freelance or full-time caregivers for both regular and occasional needs. It also empowers these caregivers with training, resources, and support.
Women sacrifice a great deal when raising a child – career, health, time, emotions, and resources. I strongly believe, however, that parenting is a โ๐ด๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ช๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ต๐บโ. A woman should not have to sacrifice everything, as alternatives can be provided to cushion these losses.
Many people complain about problems within an industry, but Samrawit is not one of them. Beyond seeing an opportunity, she sees the potential for positive impact.
